Merry Christmas, All!!
I just wanted to put up a short post for Christmas this year. I am so grateful for my wonderful friends and family to spend this time with. This is probably one of my favorite times of year, with all the Christmas songs, lights, snow, cold nipping at my nose, hot cocoa, family time, etc. It’s a total change in the air that I absolutely love. And the reason for the season is even better. Jesus. His love for the world and the mercy and compassion He extends to us is the best gift I could ever imagine. Life is not easy, and this year hasn’t been either. That is something that I have learned over the past several years. However, having the hope of Christ and realizing that life really is not about the material things changes the way I look at it all. So I hope and pray that all who read this can enjoy a bit of this season, no matter what their circumstances. As you read this post, enjoy a few unedited photos from our Christmas decorating. I also hope that you can smile and laugh at some of the sweet and funny decorations that we place on our tree (i.e. for some reason, we have a thing for some of these mysterious koala ornaments my dad has kept from his bachelor days).
