Welcome to a new year! 2014! Whew, another year went by fast. Those who are more experienced in this area will laugh at this, but I’m just beginning to learn that the older I get, the faster the years go. Goodness! It feels like we just started 2013 three months ago. I’ve only now begun to remember to date my papers 2013 instead of 2012. But that’s the way it works I guess.
I am excited about starting another year with BVPhotography and am extra excited about the thought of working with more people and families. I have already kicked off this year with a beautiful shoot (to be posted soon) and am excited to share it. I’m still in the editing process but look for it in the next week or two! Meanwhile, I have another exciting bit of news to share.
To kick off this year, I did something different. Well, I guess not purposely to kick off the year, it just kind of timed itself that way. I have wanted to enter some of my photos into a competition for some time now, and I finally did! One of the best photography (and electronics) stores that I have ever dealt with is definitely B&H Photo. They are A.MAZ.ING. Not only do they carry thousands of products, but they also are competitive with their prices and shipping is outstanding! They have definitely created a loyal customer in me. I was on their website the other day, and low and behold, they are holding a photo competition. I thought I may as well enter one of my photos, so I did! (Psst! Look below.) It is one of a beautiful salamander that I spent some time with my senior year when I was taking photos for a different competition. I loved the photo but never got the chance to use it. I figured since B&H had a reptile category, that it would fit in perfectly. However, this competition is one where the people vote on their favorite. I’d love for all of you to check it out!
