Vintage Teacups

These two little teacups are such cute reminders of the love of friends.  At least, that’s what I see when I look at them.  If you know me, you know that my tastes tend to romanticize the old-fashioned.  I could sit and talk about Anne of Green Gables, Pride and Prejudice, train rides, soda-fountain shops, photographing with a film camera, and traveling with a vintage suitcase all afternoon!  So it’s not odd that when I look at this set of tea cups, the immediate image in my head is two friends sitting on the front porch in their rocking chairs, enjoying a cup of tea, and chatting away the afternoon.  Pretty much, with Marilla Cuthburt and Anne Shirley in mind (for all of the Anne of Green Gables fans).  It was such a pleasant surprise to come across these when going through some of my great-grandmas stuff that she didn’t want anymore.  Photographing a set like these has been on my want list for some time now; it was so much fun to take these and have a little photo shoot with them a couple weeks ago.  Now all that’s left to do is  sit on the front porch and have some tea… or coffee.  🙂

A shot of the little set up on my desk…surprising at how little it takes to do a shoot like this!
